Eight Auspicious Bhuddhist Symbols from Bhutan (1955-1957)

Due to the fact that it has no text, at first glance it is unclear whether this coin is a token or whether it was actual currency. It is in fact a genuine pice coin from Bhutan that was used between 1955 and 1957. It features the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism in a grid-like pattern on the front and back.  It is 21 mm, approximately the same diameter as a U.S. nickel. The coin is bronze and the chain is brass.
