Indian Brass 1 Anna
This ornate scalloped coin was minted between 1906 and 1947, but with some minor changes in metal composition and design that took place over the years. The coin features ornate lettering stating the denomination "1 Anna" in English at the center as well as in these four languages also spoken in India: Urdu, Telugu, Bengli and Devnagari, found at the corners of the coin. This coin is made of brass and nickel and hangs on a brass chain. It is 21mm, which is slightly larger than a U.S. penny.
